The PV Academy is an educational platform which will give a deep insight into selected PV research & development topic and supports the global PV community with the mission:

The additional event will take place Sunday 25th September 2022 onsite in the Museo Nazionale della Scienza e della Tecnologia Leonardo da Vinci in Milan. Just before the opening of the 8th World Conference on Photovoltaic Energy Conversion.
 
Some of the most recognised and experienced scientists in the field will give four top level lectures.

Industry Summit
Since 2020, when PV became the cheapest electricity in history, the economics completely changed and the PV market is now dominated not by demand but by supply. Currently we are in a poly-Si crises, which limits the annual production capacity to about 200GW, but this will change by 2023. The Industry Opening session will deal with the important question “What are the chances and challenges for multi-TW production?” Will we be ready to bring PV production to TW level before 2030? International presenters and panelists from the whole value chain will discuss this important question which will be then reviewed in more detail in the following sessions of the Industry Summit.

Industry sessions are held during the first two days of the event and will address the most pressing issues in PV manufacturing and deployment.
